The Guild [Precise, Sean Ace, Jus Cuz] – Light It Up

Posted on March 5, 2013 by Andrew Barber

The-Guild-3

*NOT A WEED SONG*

This Guild project was inspired by the Cartoon Network series Venture Brothers, which runs on Adult Swim. The show cleared all of the samples and gave their official blessing to this concept project. Precise is featured on like half of the album, so if you like what you hear, you can download the entire thing below the jump. But for now, here’s a sample of “Light It Up.”

This album is a commentary on hate.  It exists on a continuum spanning from the comical to the satirical to the serious….which songs exist where on the continuum is largely to be determined by the listener.  In between songs is featured production by Vision 77 and Sean Ace.  These two, plus Jus Cuz, complete all the production on the album.  And Sampshon comes in and reminds of the opposite of hate.  Lyrics by Sean Ace, Jus Cuz, Precise, Cya, and the Chancellor.  The madness is sewn together by DJ Kwest_on.

Agreed. Let’s hope they go, at least, that far. I enjoyed every aspect of making this album. I just hope all of you enjoy what we created.

Ahh…The Guild is in The Buildin!!! This was a great project to work on…I love the way we flipped the theme. Chicago holds the crown for dopest music in my opinion. If people knew the back story they would understand….We are available for interviews….LOL…BTW…Thanks Drew!…Video coming soon.
