Say it ain’t so. Word on the street is that VH1’s hit series Love & Hip-Hop, which has already taken up residency in NYC and Atlanta, is headed to Chicago next. I’ve heard rumblings of producers poking around Chicago looking for talent, and up until recently they had an ad on Craigslist searching for cast members (the call out is now down). Rumored cast members include Shawnna, Lanipop and the infamous Sydney Star whose audition tape surfaced on YouTube today. I’m not sure who else would round out the cast, but I’m sure there are more than enough artists/producers/managers here to make it a very interesting season.
Could Cook County be in the hot seat next season? I’m sure we’ll soon find out.
i find this SUPER HARD TO BELIEVE!!! They would do LA before Chicago…Chicago is not really known for hip-hop like that. NY and Atl are a given…nobody outside of Chicago cares about Chicago…a great city but its not really important in terms of the entertainment world..

Oh and F.Y.I Common -who happens to be from Chicago, is one of the pioneers of “true hip hop.” The hip hop that Jay-Z speaks of….Yeah, just thought I’d hip you to at least 1 lesson. Just because a city isn’t KNOWN to be really loud, obnoxious and catty, doesn’t mean that there isn’t an interesting hip hop scene.
