Last week, tweets were flying around claiming Kanye West (with Kim in tow) were at the Def Jam HQ in NYC playing records from his currently-untitled new album. No pics popped up and mum was the word, but Peter Rosenberg got some intel saying it was “dark” and “really good.” Word on the street is that it has a very “Chicago” sound to it as well (but Rosenberg didn’t mention that in the segment below).
As we reported a few weeks back, Chief Keef, King Louie and Young Chop have all recently been over in Paris working with the Louis Vuitton Don. Hopefully we get the project — or some leaks — this summer. But Kanye typically likes to drop in 4Q these days. Stay tuned.
Real and gritty sounds promising…hopefully it’s some of the classic Chicago Hip Hop sound that NO.I.D., Common, Twista, etc got us used to!
