George’s Music Room, the Chicago institution run by local legend George Daniels, is a Go Ill landmark — and probably should be recognized as such by the government. Unfortunately, not everyone feels the same way, as just a few nights ago the shop was ransacked by vandals who broke in through an adjoining apartment.
George’s legendary shop wasn’t completely destroyed, but it has left him curbing his plans to reopen the store in its Lawndale location. George is always a positive and inspiring individual, so to see him so distraught is definitely a downer.
