On Thursday night, we presented our fourth installment of our Sound Select series with Red Bull at Reggie’s Rock Club in Chicago. In the past we’ve brought you the likes of Freddie Gibbs, Gunplay and Master P, but this time we delivered Mannie Fresh’s first-ever headlining show and DJ set in the City of Wind.
Kicking things off were local stars Giftz, ZMoney and Lucki Eck$, who all played for a sold out crowd as the venue hit capacity around 10:30pm. Reggie’s was packed wall to wall with fans and supporters who came out to scope the talent. A handful of record labels, A&Rs and publishing houses were also on hand to see who was next in the Chi.
The always entertaining Dave Jeff hosted, while MattBoyWhite kept the crowd hot with his DJ sets throughout the evening. Other highlights included Tree, YP and Save Money coming out during Giftz set. A lot of dope individuals came out, so hit the jump to see what you missed if you weren’t in the building.
