If there currently is a Chicago born rapper everyone should be paying close attention to then it’s got to be Rockie Fresh. Barely in his twenties, this Chicago native came to commercial prominence when he debuted his mixtape, Rockie’s Modern Life back in 2009. Since then he’s been signed to Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group and thus far it seems like the only way is up. His latest track ‘God is Great’ will be released with his upcoming September 13th album entitled Self Made 3 and if this track is anything to go by, then there is no doubt that Rockie Fresh is going to blow up big time. In listening to “God is Great’, one gets a real appreciation for this rapper’s fluid control of his lyrics. His low tone is reminiscent of former Bad Boy rapper Mase and come September 13th, iTunes users who get their hands on the album will feel like they have hit the jackpot at an iPhone casino.
