Will the real Rob Kelly please stand up? Please stand up. Please stand up.
First of all, I know these people didn’t believe Kells was gonna show up to perform in Louisiana in a fake Ice Cream/Bape hoodie in 2013. Second of all, if you go to an all black everything or white party in 2013, you deserve to get scammed. Kidding!
So it appears there’s a fraudulent pied piper touring select markets in the south, pretending to be the world’s greatest. He pulled a fast one on a Monroe, LA club late last week, and the fans are now taking to social media to air out the impersonator. Is Kells the new MF DOOM? The least he could’ve done was wear the zorro mask.
According to Billboard.com, those who attended the event, put on by promoter Cedric Johnson, paid $150 per ticket and are hoping to receive a refund.
“Advertisement online, through Ticketmaster, said that it was a ‘Ced’s All Black Affair, R. Kelly performing live,’ which did not happen last night,” said a woman who attended the show, while speaking with KNOE News. “It was an impersonator on stage, impersonating R. Kelly that may have sung every bit of four minutes and he did not even sing, he lip sung…We was scammed.”
