Longshot – Had He Lived (Benji Wilson)

Posted on November 21, 2013 by Andrew Barber

unnamed-1

Produced by Kenny Keys

Long is back with another dedication to a fallen basketball legend — and this time it’s Chicago’s own Benji Wilson. Longshot’s “Len Bias” joint from a few years back was a sure shot, so it’s only right he revisits the theme as part of his Broken Hoop Dreams series. Longshot will also be playing this Saturday, 11/23, at The Abbey Pub. Swish.

Longshot and SureShot Productions release the first single of Shot’s upcoming new album ‘Nothing’s Gold’. The new single, ‘Had He Lived'(Benji Wilson) is produced by one of the illest beatsmiths to do it Kenny Keys. Following the success of ‘Len Bias’ Longshot has decided to start a song series dedicated to ballers who never got to fully realize their NBA dreams. ‘Had He Lived’, the second installment in the Broken Hoop Dreams series, is an ode to Chicago hoops legend Benji Wilson and gives a glimpse into how his legacy still impacts sports fans around the world today. Always remembered, this one’s for Benji…enjoy.
Longshot’s 7th studio album ‘Nothing’s Gold’ due out 2/1/2014
