DJ Candlestick took BJ The Chicago Kid’s Pineapple Now & Laters and turned it into Purple Now & Laters — how fitting, right? The majority of the tracks on the tape are made for great slow jam sessions, but “Aight” sounds extra beautiful because BJ’s voice is in falsetto. There’s just something about it.
