FSD Feature: A Guide To Derrick Rose Rap References

Posted on May 19, 2014 by FSD Staff

6. Lupe Fiasco – Peace of Paper/Cup of Jayzus

“Where the D go?, put that on a Rose now you pronounce it hero, see?”

Classic Lupe wordplay here. If you put D on a rose, you get a D.Rose and Lupe is referencing him as the hometown hero putting the city and his team on his back.

    kids these days – darling…

And as for the low, I’m killing the competition
    I often get’em and forget’em, can’t even help it
I used to get that feeling, as of late I haven’t felt it
I’m something like myself, so these hoes say I’m selfish
On that rookie bull like when Derrick Rose played the Celtics
