Video: Bread Doe – North Chicago

Posted on August 26, 2014 by Andrew Barber

Today we take it to the North Pole for this new clip from the Chicago’s own, Bread Doe. Bread is the first in-house artist of Chicago’s newly launched Remix Project, which is now taking place in the Lacuna Artist Lofts in Pilsen.

My man Gavin Sheppard, who is running point at the Remix Project, wrote a thing or two about the video and song, which I’ve shared with you below. Keep an eye out for Bread’s North Shore EP, due out later this year.

Raised in North Chicago, recording artist & producer Bread Doe is proud to release the first single and video from his forthcoming “The North Shore EP” – North Chicago.

Shot by frequent collaborator Tim G Films, North Chicago is a gritty and melodic ode to the community and the people who raised him.

Having produced for Chicago’s King Louie (“Remember,” Drilluminatti 2) and collaborated with Chi Hoover (“Anything”), the young creative has recently become The Remix Project’s first recording artist-in-residence as the internationally awarded cultural incubator begins to develop it’s programming in the city.
