We’ve been telling you about the new Chicago-based music app, Nusiki, for a few weeks now. So if you haven’t downloaded it yet, we highly suggest you do so. Seriously, get to it. As we explained, the best way to describe Nusiki is it being the lovechild of Spotify and Instagram. Its goal? To make it easier to share your favorite music with friends and various networks.
Last week, however, Nusiki had their breakout week down in Austin, TX for the SXSW festivities. There’s no better place to make a debut, and their presence was most definitely felt in the Austin streets. Nusiki was the official tech partner for the #SXSWTakeover shows at ACL Live, which was a two night spectacle featuring performances from J. Cole, Wiz Khalifa, DeJ Loaf, Ghostface Killah & Badbadnotgood, Redman, Dreamville, Taylor Gang, Allan Kingdom, Mike Will Made-It, Rae Srummerd, Joey Bada$$, G-Eazy and many more.
Team FSD collided with the Nusiki squad to enjoy both nights and celebrate their official launch. Both night’s were sold out affairs, with lines down the street and around the corner. Filling any venue, let alone one that holds thousands, is no small feat during SXSW, as every brand in the world is in competition for patrons.
O.G.’s like Redman and Too $hort wowed the crowd; while Rae Srummerd and Mike Will pushed the energy through the roof. But it had to be J. Cole who really had the most memorable impact on the stage. Thousands upon thousands of dedicated Dreamville fans showed up and showed out, rapping along to every word and eating out of Cole’s palm. It was an amazing sight to witness, as were the two nights FSD spent at ACL Live. Great vibes and incredible energy.
