A week ago, it was announced that Holt (or Hollywood Holt to many Chicago locals) had officially inked a deal with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label. But the main question to many of those outside of Chicago was “What exactly does Holt sound like?” Well, even if you’ve known Holt for years, his sound has completely evolved into something else. No, he’s not rapping. He’s singing. It’s way more melodic. New year, new deal, new sound.
But I won’t bore you with my description, I’ll let the music do the talking, as today he’s released a brand new video and song, “Nightcall,” produced by his best friend, cousin and Treated Crew brother, Mano. It’s a cover of the Kavinsky track of the same name, featuring Emily Morse. The video is super ill, to boot. It was directed by Holt and Chelsea Lombardo. Watch it now.
