Lipstick is Pinqy Ring’s call back to what rap is about – hard bars, punch lines, metaphors and a dope flow! The premise behind the song can be summed up with the line in the chorus that states: “I’ll chew you up and spit you out without smearing my lipstick!”
The song is just all around dope rap, as Pinqy Ring – a student of Hip Hop – wanted to reclaim her lyrical prowess with a feminine feel. This is her reminder that she’s still an MC, and can rap just as well as any man (or woman) can. 😉
Lipstick is also the woman rap movement, in summary: We can be witty, intelligent, lyrical, boss-like and still rock some fierce faces. The video (releasing in a few weeks) will feature many different girls and women, as a unifying message of “Whatever you can do we can do better – and look beautiful doing it!”
