Wow, they took me back with this one. In light of the recent tragedies in Baltimore — and even locally with Rekia Boyd, Lupe decided to reheat one of my favorite records from his undisputed classic, 2006’s Food & Liquor. Prolyfic handled production duties on this one, if you remember correctly.
Despite this record almost being a decade old, the timing is perfect for the re-release which follows Lu’s transistor radio throughout the town. You don’t hear them, though.
So go back to the future with “It Just Might Be Okay” above. Better late than never.
