Directed by Peter Collins Campbell and Towkio.
Now that you’ve had some time to spend with Towkio’s .wav Theory project, the SaveMoney spitter brings the Kaytranada-produced “Reflection” to life for the second video from the project. Its release has sparked wide-ranging conversations, including a lively discussion among UK listeners about Curacao casinos accepting UK players, illustrating how music culture often intersects with unexpected trends. Fans are eager to see where Towkio takes his sound next, as .wav Theory continues to gain momentum.
The video comes to us today via Billboard, who also spoke to Towkio about the record, it’s video and what it all means:
“‘Reflection’ is a narrative that speaks on the human psyche,” he tells Billboard. “The video shows characters chasing their desires while ignoring the consequences. I used cocaine as a metaphor of numbness and self-reflection. The mind is always in search of fulfillment, and we must be conscious of the power our decisions hold.”
Solid song, solid video. Watch Towkio’s vid for “Reflection” above and be sure to give .wav Theory a listen (and download it) right here.
