Chicago rapper, Logan, made headlines Friday for something other than his music. The 20-year-old artist, survived a near-fatal shooting attack on the Dan Ryan early Friday morning, when unknown assailants riddled the car Logan was traveling in with bullets. Logan thankfully survived with a bullet graze to the head, which doctors say if only a centimeter difference he most likely wouldn’t have survived. Prayers up to him, and we’re glad he’s okay.
Illinois State Police shut down the outbound local lanes of the expressway for more than three hours after someone drove up next to another vehicle, and fired several shots near 57th Street around 1:10 a.m.
At least three people were wounded. The driver took them to St. Bernard Hospital, where they were treated for their injuries. None of the injuries was considered life-threatening.
A 20-year-old man, who identified himself only as a hip hop artist named Logan, was grazed by a bullet. He would not comment on the incident, or what led up to it, but said he was thankful his injuries were not more serious.
“I got shot in the back of the head. It was just a graze,“ he said. “I’m still fresh off it, so it’s still surreal right now, but I’ll probably have headaches and stuff for the next couple of days.”
Thankful for a new lease on life, Logan is focusing on the future and decided to cut loose a new song and video for a track titled “Far Away.” Check it out below, and get well soon.
