My hoopty, rollin’, tailpipe draggin’, heat don’t work and my girlie keep naggin’. Sir Mix-A-Lot told you about the hoopty back in the 90s. But now that it’s 2015, it’s time to revisit the term for a new generation. And today, Closed Sessions artist, Kweku Collins, carries that torch with this new self-produced joint called “Hoopdi.” New year, new spelling. Deal with it.
This release also comes in celebration of Kweku’s first-ever NYC show, which takes place on October 17th, when Closed Sessions hosts a Boiler Room event in the Big Apple.
