Fader ventured up to St. Paul, Minnesota to film their second documentary series on bubbling artist Allan Kingdom. It’s a great look into his personal life, his upbringing and what it feels like to be on the verge of something massive.

The FADER spent a week with the artist, visiting his childhood home in St. Paul, Minnesota, where we meet his mother, his uncle, and get a glimpse into the artist’s journey toward securing his presence in hip hop. In this film, we learn how Kingdom eventually caught the attention of Kanye West, and longtime collaborator Plain Pat. “Every time I do something it’s exciting because it’s new and I don’t know what’s going to happen,” says Kingdom. “That’s what I represent, is something new.”
