HOT BOY COVER VOL ONE-Recovered 3

This. Is. Awesome. Whoadie.

Not to mention it’s one of the most creative and unique endeavors we’ve seen from a Chicago rapper to date. Somehow, someway, B8gie has dug up some raps he committed to recording back at the turn of the century. He was truly trying to take over for the 99 and the 2000. Both years. Ya’heardme?

A self-admitted early Cash Money Records stan, B8gie was heavily influenced by the New Orleans outfit, so much that he once christened himself as Juvenile Jr. He might even have the CMB logo on his neck, but I think I just made that up. Oops. [Update: B8gie confirms that is, in fact, a Cash Money piece]

I’ll let him explain further. Now stay tuned for the Hot Boy, and be sure to get it how u live this holiday season.

The Hot Boy B8gie Project, Vol. 1 (my earliest raps & cassette tape recordings from ’99-2001) will be released as a “limited time listen” 12/22-12/29.

Written when I was between the ages of 8-9 yrs old, and produced and engineered at the age of 10 (featuring my cousin, Buddha.) At the time, I went by Juvenile, Jr. aka Lil Flame.

I like to compare the entire creative process (of Vol. 1 & 2) as somewhat of a literal submission of work for approval, such as a project one does for school. Listeners are encouraged to embrace The Project as a child’s declaration to pursue a dream and discover a seemingly destined identity.
