It’s been a rough week for Chicago hip-hop.
After losing Timbuck2 to cancer last Saturday, Chicago’s music scene almost faced another tragedy yesterday when King Louie was shot in the head on Chicago’s southside during a drive-by shooting.
Thankfully, King Louie survived with a graze wound, and is expected to make a full recovery. The support for Louie over the past 24 hours has been overwhelming with everyone from Kanye West and Chance The Rapper showing support.
This evening, however, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan stopped by the hospital to show his support and wish King Louie well. Amazing.
We are thrilled that Louie is doing well and we wish him a speedy recovery. And whoever got him that Portillo’s is a real one. That’s what friends are for. Get well soon, brother.
