Ashley Rose is a talented singer/songwriter hailing from Detroit, who is managed by Roc Nation and the homie Ced Louie. She’s penned countless tracks for major artists such as Sevyn and Chris Brown “Don’t Kill The Fun,” Tamar Braxton “Pieces,” Zara Larsson “Can’t Hold Back,” Love DollHouse “Can I” and Kat DeLuna “Stars.”
So yeah, she’s had crazy placements. Today, we welcome you to Ashley a.k.a. Super Pen’s new series, The Rejects, where she shares some of her best demos that were left on the sidelines and/not picked by their intended recipients. She kicks it off with “Pull Over,” which was passed on by Tinashe. Ready why and hear the track below.
So…I know you guys can understand not making a Beyonce album…I mean…it’s Beyonce….most of us have NO idea what she’s doing and we shoot in the dark….but here’s where it gets frustrating.
This next release was written for Tinashe. She’s a relatively new artist that had a hit with her single “2 On”….I spent countless hours in the studio working on a follow up single….this record wasn’t chosen for the single….or for the album….I tried to give her a sultry grown and sexy edge…I guess they felt the singles they’ve dropped since “2 On” were better….like I said….great A&R’s keep us writers and artist alive….Check out “Pull Over”….and you be the judge.
