In light of the tragic passing of 2Pac’s mother, the revolutionary Afeni Shakur, DJ Geno decided to cut loose a track Shawnna recorded over 10 years ago for her 2006 album, Block Music. The track, which repurposes Pac’s “Wonda Why They Call U Bitch,” was shelved and has never seen the light of day until now. They thought it was only right to release and pay tribute.
So here it is, the long-vaulted “Wonder Why,” by one of Chicago’s greatest spitters, Shawnna.
