This brought a smile to my face today.
This week, in the great city of Detroit, Jay Dee’s Uncle, Herman Hayes, opened up Dilla’s Delight Donuts — a donut shop in his memory. The shop, named after Dilla’s favorite snack and his last living album, serves 100% organic flour donuts everyday staring at 5am until they run out.
As you can tell from the video below, the shop is already a hit, and the yesterday’s batch sold out almost immediately. The shop is open Monday through Saturday from 5 a.m. until sellout. It’s located at 242 John R Street, near the Detroit Opera House. See more from the store below.
