Femdot. Dilla. Call him what you want, just don’t call yourself late to the party for one of Chicago’s dopest new artists. Fem definitely made his mark with his last EP, fo(u)r, which he dropped this past spring. But now he’s here to close the summer out with five new tracks packaged up as thr(we).
I heard Fem play some select offerings from thr(we). at our Red Bull Sound Select show in Denver and they immediately caught my ear. I’m about two songs in and he’s already cleverly flipped both Bobby Brown and Musiq Soulchild, so you could say I’m pretty much hooked. My early favorite is for sure “Get Rich Forever,” but I already told you that. There’s something very special here, something I highly suggest you don’t overlook. Heed my words.
