Last night, Chicago was the subject of CNN’s United Shades of America series on CNN. Host and onetime Chicago resident, W. Kamau Bell, came back to the Chi to explore gun violence, schools, funding, segregation, and options for change. From the Gardens to Lincoln Park, Dr. Bell bounced all around the city with Malik Yusef. In the final scene, he sat down at Kingson Mines with the likes of Vic Mensa, Lil Durk, Do or Die, Fya Man and many others to have a roundtable discussion about the issues at hand.
