One of the most talked about names in the Chicago scene over the past year or so has been vocalist and producer Phoelix. After heavy contributions to projects by Saba, Noname, and Smino, Phoelix arrives today to drop off his own debut effort. At 7 tracks, the project has similar moments to all the aforementioned releases, but very clearly a unique effort from Phoelix. This one is incredibly cohesive. We’ve got a feeling that Phoelix will be talked about a lot in the coming months, but for now you can jump on at the start of the journey.
