We’ve been supporting Columbia College’s AEMMP Records for years now, and we’re always happy to announce their latest endeavors — and today is no exception. Today, we’re happy to give you the announcement of the label’s latest signee: Musa Reems. But not only that, we have the world premiere of his new single “Play4Keeps.”
Curbside Jones handles the production, while Musa’s delivery and execution on this one is top notch. Grade A all around. The 20-year-old emcee hails from the Westside of the Chi, and is sure to make a major splash within the local scene. Born under Malik Muhammad, Musa is a lyrically inclined 20 year-old emcee hailing from the west side of Chicago. Growing up to the influences of MF DOOM, The Wu-Tang Clan, and Black Thought, Musa began writing and making music at the age of 15 and hasn’t looked back since. By fusing the sounds of hip-hop, soul, and funk, he is considered one of the most prolific and versatile artists to represent the city. Currently a junior music business major at Columbia College Chicago, Musa is ready to begin his journey at AEMMP records.
