We missed IshDARR over here at FSD. After dropping a fantastic EP, Four the Better, IshDARR went into the incubator for the rest of 2017. And whether he was getting himself ready, or just giving us time to recover before his debut 2018 album that he’s been tweeting about he’s back with a real calculated vengeance. “THEY LOST ME 2” is one of the grittiest tracks I’ve heard in recent time, with frequent collaborator Canis Major supplying the driving drums that helps Ish navigate his boastful, yet inward looking bars. “Tell me what your 5 year is/ What’s your 5 year/ Transition to pure progress/“
The passion Ish is spitting with on this just feels different, showing that he’s not only one of the most promising artists out of Milwaukee, but the whole darn Midwest. He has the confidence of an artist that is hellbent on taking over 2018, and with this track being the first taste, we can’t wait to see what else Ish got in the tank.
