GTCC 2025: Compete for Glory and ₱10Min GameZone’s Ultimate Tongits Showdown

Posted on May 21, 2025 by FSD Staff

The GameZone Tablegame Champions Cup (GTCC) is more than just a tournament—it’s the largest, most prestigious Tongits competition in the country. With a ₱10,000,000 prize pool at stake, it serves as the ultimate battleground for elite Filipino players who want to showcase their talent, discipline, and strategic mastery. The winner doesn’t just walk away with cash—they earn the exclusive title of GTCC Champion, a mark of excellence in the world of digital Filipino card games.

Hosted by GameZone, one of the country’s top platforms for card game tournaments, the GTCC is the final destination for players who’ve spent years refining their skills. With multiple competition phases, strict qualification criteria, and high-stakes gameplay, GTCC is where the nation’s best Tongits players rise—and legends are made.

How to Qualify for the 2025 GTCC

GTCC 2025 is not open to just anyone—you have to earn your seat at the table. To qualify, players must participate in the Tongits Free Multi-Table Tournament on GameZone Casino, which runs from April 25 to May 16. Success is measured through consistent rankings on daily and weekly leaderboards.

Only the top performers will make it to the championship stage. The tournament is accessible to all users with a verified GameZone account, allowing passionate players from across the Philippines to try their luck—and skill—against the best.

Qualifying is just the first step. The real battle begins once you’re inside the GTCC itself.

Tournament Structure: Understanding the GTCC Format

Group Stage: The Elimination Begins

Once qualified, the 135 players are randomly split into three groups of 45 players each—Groups A, B, and C. Each group undergoes three elimination matches, with each match consisting of 20 rounds.

Players accumulate chips during gameplay. After all three matches, the top 63 players based on total chips move on to the next stage. This phase is designed to test consistency, adaptability, and mastery of the Tongits format under pressure.

Promotional Round: Raising the Stakes

The top 63 players are then rearranged into 21 groups, each composed of three players. This round includes two extended phases, each with 60 rounds. This setup provides more chances for each player to demonstrate deep strategy, composure, and endurance.

After both phases:

  • The top 12 players with the most chips advance to the Upper Bracket, split into 4 groups.

  • The remaining 51 players are placed in the Lower Bracket, split into 17 groups.

From here:

  • The top 5 Upper Bracket players

  • And the top 4 Lower Bracket players

…will move forward to the semifinal stage, bringing only 9 contenders one step closer to the grand title.

Semifinals: Only the Best Advance

The 9 semifinalists are divided into 3 groups of 3 players. Each group plays 60 intense rounds. Only the top performer in each group—based on the total chips—will advance to the GTCC Grand Finals.

The semifinal phase is a make-or-break moment. It not only narrows the field to the best three players in the tournament but also ensures that only the most consistent and strategic players reach the final round.

Grand Finals: Where Legends Are Crowned

In the final phase of GTCC 2025, the remaining 3 finalists will face off in a 100-round battle. The player who holds the highest chip count at the end of the last round will be declared the GTCC 2025 Champion. The second- and third-place finishers will also receive generous cash prizes.

In the event of a tie, the organizers have specific tie-breaking protocols to determine a fair and undisputed winner. This ensures that all outcomes are based on performance, decision-making, and resilience.

Why GTCC Is a Game-Changer for the Tongits Community

The GTCC is not just about high-level gameplay—it represents the future of Filipino card game culture. GameZone Casino has created a platform that elevates Tongits from a casual pastime to a legitimate competitive discipline.

By offering a structured, multi-phase tournament with high visibility and significant rewards, GTCC is inspiring a new generation of Filipino card players. From seasoned veterans to ambitious newcomers, players now have a real reason to train, compete, and pursue excellence in the game they love.
