Video: Vic Mensa Covers Future’s “Codeine Crazy” at Pitchfork Music Festival

Posted on July 19, 2015July 19, 2015 by Andrew Barber

Day 2 of Pitchfork Music Festival at Union Park was a winner. In part because of Vic Mensa’s A+ performance on the Blue Stage prior to the fest closing out last night. Vic crushed with hits such as “Down On My Luck,” “U Mad,” “3AM” and his new joint with Skrillex “No Chill.” But fans were treated to another big surprise — as Vic debuted a cover of Future’s cult favorite “Codeine Crazy.”

Vic and his band put a nice little rock and roll spin on the record, slow it down and make it straight festival music. I bet you didn’t see this coming did you?
