Congrats are in order to Kanye West and Jon Wexler, both Chicago natives, for winning the Footwear News’ “Shoe of the Year” award last night. It’s no surprise that Kanye’s Yeezy Boost 350s were the most talked about and popular sneaker of the 2015, so the award is well deserved. Obviously. Kanye and Wex have done amazing things for adidas this past year, and I’m sure this is only the beginning for the team. Very happy for Wex, who is a long supporter of FSD.

In classic West style, he took the stage and didn’t hold back with his remarks and storytelling. Joining him on stage was adidas Global Director of Entertainment and Influencer Marketing Jon Wexler, who West credited for “saving his life” by allowing him to express his creativity on sneakers.
“Jon Wexler saved my life. He knows about Chicago culture. When you go out to work with someone, know their back story,” he said.
