The state is not the only one pushing such gambling in the nation. In the past two years, three recent lawsuits have seen over $15m spent on gambling based solely in California in casino på nett norge (and all of them were denied), the largest of which took place in 2014 when federal agents arrested a Nevada state trooper over an alleged betting exchange between a Vegas casino and an Indiana high school.
While Nevada Govt. Brian Sandoval is looking to rein in a slew of gaming-related charges over the past several weeks, a new report highlights that there is evidence to suggest the gaming lobby’s presence is growing, as well. The Southern Poverty Law Center, a research outfit, released its 2016 Corruption and Federalism Index (CFI) in May 2013. The organization’s database includes over 100,000 registered lobbyists from around the world.
“Although there are large numbers of lobbyists in California, many are working only for the federal government,” the report says, citing data from the Taxpayers for Common Sense.
As the report also shows, both federal and state enforcement agencies are making progress in catching up. For instance, in Colorado, the feds spent $1.4bn last year to catch a staggering 914 registered lobbyists (including more than 50 active Nevada lobbyists)—a 16 per cent increase from 2014. In Utah, the federal government spent $5.3 billion last year on prosecuting 10,000 registered lobbyists working for politicians or for a charity.
