Last night, Vic Mensa bucked any Oscar involvement, but appearing at REVOLT’s #JusticeForFlint event, held on location in Flint, Michigan. Vic is known to stand by his words, and yesterday he opened up on social media as well as at the event about the Flint water crisis and the bullshit politics behind it.
During his set, Vic premiered a new song that relates to Chicago’s crisis with the CPD, aptly titled “16 Shots,” which is dedicated to Laquan McDonald and was produced by Papi Beatz. Jayson Rodriguez from REVOLT was on hand to film Vic’s first verse — and this one is sounding quite timely and accurate. Peep a preview below.
