Posted on February 8, 2018February 8, 2018 by Andrew Barber

Directed by ADaD. Produced by Tensei. Featuring Yaw Ageyman.

We’ve been covering ADaD for years now, and time and time again he impresses with his content. The overall package is always stunning. From the lyrics to the concepts to the beat selection. It’s always on point. Today, he keeps the streak alive with the world premiere of his powerful “Danger Us” video, produced by long time collaborators Tensei. These two have made magic over the years, and today they join forces with vocalist Yaw Ageyman to take things to another level.

Violence is an issue that has plagued Chicago seemingly forever, and ADaD takes a closer examination at the cycle today. As a native of Englewood, ADaD has witnessed these tragedies time and time again, and wanted to bring it to life with the artistic and compelling new clip for “Danger Us.” It’s a Dirty Science thing — and a must watch. So check out their full package below — complete with a description directly from ADaD.

Dirty Science presents a Fake Shore Drive exclusive premiere. This film is dedicated to the misguided and fallen sons in the struggle. “Danger Us” is a story about the reality of what happens when you come up young and wreck-less. Day in and day out we lose our youth to street dreams and misguided ambitions. As an Englewood (Chicago) native I have been aware of the cycle my whole life. I’ve lost friends to the streets, either by way of the gun or the cell, and I watch the path be glorified through tv, internet and music. You hardly ever see anybody talking about what the outcome really is though. This piece does. Coming from a city where violence is at an epidemic level, like so many other cities in America, it seems so important that video as a dominant means of communicating with the youth, should be used to awaken them to the realities of their decisions and offer them a perspective that doesn’t tell them that walking a destructive path is cool.
