In 2018, artists can sell their art anyway they please. There’s no one way turn a profit — in other words, there’s more than one way to skin a cat. Sure, you can stick it on Bandcamp and hope someone hits you off with a donation; or put it on all the DSPs and let the pennies stack up over time. Or you can go direct to the fans. And for Vic Spencer’s latest project A Smile Killed My Demons, he did just that. Yes, you can get all 14 of his new tracks, but you gotta slide him $20 via Paypal. No you can’t preview, or try before you buy, but you can give him an Andrew Jackson and own forever.
I’m sure other artists have tried this, but I’m welling to bet dollars to donuts that Vic is doing it right and probably collected a solid payday thus far today. Follow the directions below and own the album now. That Dropbox link will be in your inbox before you can say Victor Greenthumb.
PayPal 20 gifted bucks to vicspencer87@gmail to hear my new album, A Smile Killed My Demons. Then DM me your email so I can link you to my Dropbox link. Thanks in advance. pic.twitter.com/0tJi0XgccQ
