Ghosts. Blood. Werewolves. Murder. Pizza. Yeah, all of those are colliding as Slice, Austen Vesely’s first full-length feature, releases its first trailer. The film stars Zazie Beatz and Chance the Rapper (also making his film debut), a werewolf, as they work to solve a mystery involving the murder of a local pizza delivery boy (played by Austen himself in a cameo). Oh, and the pizza place is haunted. We know, it all sounds amazing.
Slice has been coming for a few years now, and the Vesely/Chance duo goes way back to “22 Offs”, so this silver screen debut is MAJOR major. A24, the distribution company behind Moonlight, Lady Bird, and more getting involved is a great look as well. No word yet on an official release date, but some say we can expect a 2018 drop, perhaps around Halloween.
