Twista feat. Waka Flocka – Hands Up, Lay Down (Prod. by The Legendary Traxster)

Posted on October 21, 2010 by Andrew Barber

The second recent collabo from Waka and Twista.  You may also remember “Don’t Luv These Hoes”, which dropped a few months ago.  You can find this joint on Twista’s The Perfect Storm that drops on November 9th.

Things are looking good for The Perfect Storm as they’ve been playing “Make A Movie” on radio ad nauseam as of late.  Another certified hit from Chicago’s living legend…

And damn, this track doesn’t sound anything like Trax.  My man has an all new sound…or sounds…

I wanna hear Twista snap on a Lex Luger or Sizzle beat! From what I just read on Lexus facebook, it may be happening soon!

Garbage. seriously, are we down south? this shit is filth! probably hot to soulja boy, waka flocka, and gucci fans, but to the real Chicago hip hop fan that dates more than 10 years, this is top 5 garbage material. Ok, Twista n Trax this shit is ok, but if you are going to continue to make this type of music with this sound, please do not rep for Chicago, I remember when you all used to create sounds and set trends, now you are following suit… shit is a major disappointment. Show’s us fans who has industry momentum; in terms of Twista, it is not him. Kanye, Common, Lupe, and Vakill are our Chicago hopes… and MIkkey along with a host of others, point being, take Twista off that list, his time has officially passed, and I swear, I thought I’d never say that in my life! This shit is filth….

Ok this shit sounds nothing like Trax i mean not at all, but i can appreciate Trax trying something new.
I’m not really feeling this Twist vs was cool flocka is terrible so i didn’t expect much from him. Still gonna cop The Perfect Storm. Man every time FSD post some Twista music Chiefj4 is right there to trash it you must have some personal issue against Twista did he fuck your wife or something.

i respect trax is trying to do things different but if you’re gonna do what others are doing…………..do it GOOD. this sounds real generic and passable. trax has become like other chicago producers, they copy what others are doing but make it watered down huff versions.

LOL! @ Big Chucker, no Twista ain’t came near my lady, lol! but I am a Twista fan from the early 90’s… since Hocus Pocus, so, to some degree do you not see the legitimacy with my comments? are you not critical of your favorite artists when they release garbage and do not seem to be moving forward musically? I would hope so. Twista has fell off point blank, and so has Trax. They are not original like they used to be, they are following trends, this shit is horrible, and maybe from bumpin that gucci/floca/boy shit all day long your vision has become distorted, but I am still fan of real Chicago Rap and will not hesitate to call out an artist if they realease junk like this. If Twista was from the A or H-Town etc he might get respect, but you from Chicago, get off that shit, they are taking real thirsty approaches to remain relevant in todays market, sad.
