Mixtape: Mick Luter x DJ G-Spot – The Myth

Posted on December 6, 2010 by Andrew Barber

It feels like only yesterday that Mick, G-Spot and I were plotting and planning to collab on Mick Luter’s Righteous Kill mixtape.  We’d leaked tracks, videos had been filmed and the proverbial ball was rolling.   Then it never came out.  For whatever reason, the project had been righteously killed.  This was all the way back in the Spring of 2009, when Mick was killing everything he touched, and the blog community was embracing his concept.  Then he disappeared altogether, only popping up a few times over the next year, which lead to people referring to him as a myth.  Taking things full circle, Mick relinked with me and G-Spot and claimed the title he’d been dubbed – The Myth.

This project features 28 tracks – some you’ve heard, others you haven’t – from the lyrical lexicon, Luter.  For those who’ve been patiently waiting on this project to drop, well, your dinner is now served.

“Under the Act” was a nice track. “How We Raised” was a dope song with a striking video. Looking forward to being able to get this album. Keep going homie.
