It’s been a pleasure of mine to watch YP grow as an artist and come into his own, and he’s really done that on his latest project with DJ RTC, No Sleep. YP Had a listening session for the project at VSOP Studios on Sunday night, and I was more than impressed with the final product. Playing out more as an album than an actual mixtape, the project features ALL new music over ALL original beats, with none of your standard “industry” freestyles or filler. Maja 7th, Million $ Mano, Bighomie D.O.E., Emmaculate, Nascent, Kamilah Sumner, Joe Blow and Eloh Beats all make appearances.
