Didn’t cha know?
I remember sitting in VSOP studios this past December listening to YP & DJ RTC’s No Sleep and hearing this one joint that I just couldn’t digest. It was that ill. I’m talking about number eleven, “What’s Gotten Into Me”. Of course I love samples and that Erykah Badu joint used in the track hooked me instantly. I noticed that I had heard the same track flipped before, though. Kent M$NEY (of Surf Club fame) had a track on his Becoming project that used the same Badu sample. Erykah’s J.Dilla-produced “Didn’t Cha Know” had found new life. J. Cole even flipped the track for “Too Deep For The Intro” from his Friday Night Lights project. Crazy huh?
