So E! is reporting that The Throne are set to perform at tonight’s MTV Video Music Awards. This isn’t a huge surprise, but is extremely noteworthy because MTV is pumping the hell out of Lil Wayne in all of their VMA promos. It’s almost like it’s the MTV Video Music Awards brought to you by Tha Carter IV. So Jay and Wayne in the same building? After “It’s Good,” will tensions be high? Obviously nothing is going to pop off, as Wayne didn’t even cop to his shot at Jay, but things could get interesting. At least we know they’ll pan to the Birdman and the Birdman J-R while Jay and Ye are performing. Brrrr.

When I was down at Nokia Live on Thursday to get a peek at the seating arrangement, there were no placards for Jay-Z or West.
I’m told most of the MTV crew and production team don’t even know yet when they’ll actually take the stage during the show.
