Amilcar – Salute II U

Posted on January 17, 2012 by Andrew Barber

Amilcar speaks to the various street organizations. I’ll let him break it down:

I’ve had this song in my archives since the Summer of 2011.I wrote this after reading a southern newspaper article on a KKK member’s letter of admiration for street gangs. This song is about how gangs that we’re originally created to Unite our people have more so divided us for the past 40 years & the conspiracy behind that change. I felt it was necessary to release this today in Honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.One of our Leaders, who was Assassinated while fighting to Unite us. The production is from DJ Burn One’s “Ashtray” Instrumental Mixtape. Which I would have to say was the most dynamic instrumental mixtape released in 2011.
