Pics: Nike BHM ‘Uplift’ Event

Posted on February 18, 2012 by Ty Howard

This past Thursday, Nike took over the Little Black Pearl in Hyde Park for a superb Black History Month event featuring the legendary Bo Jackson.

Nike does it again with the very exclusive Black History Month event that featured super star athlete Bo Jackson that was held in 3 rooms at the Little Black Pearl in Hyde Park.  The event was hosted by Ryan Baker (CBS Channel 2) and Leon Rogers (WGCI).  There was a memorabilia room that had classic jerseys, footballs, bats, baseball cards, etc.  from Bo Jackson.  Nike also brought the heat with having a silent auction room that benefited Big Brothers Big Sisters!!!   For the true collectors there were some gems to be scooped up at this auction…  The big atrium room featured MCs ADD-2 who did a song inspired by Bo Jackson and Rashid Hadee who did songs inspired by the 1996 US Women’s Basketball Team, 2002 Brazil National Futbol (Soocer) Team, and 2008 Kenya Long-Distance Team.  Major props to ADD-2 and Rashid for doing it big!!!  The evening was all about uplifting the community and how you can MAKE IT COUNT.  How do you make it count???

More flicks after the jump.
