G.O.O.D. Music Covers Complex

Posted on July 23, 2012 by Andrew Barber

It’s about to be a Cruel Summer, and the good folks at ‘Plex have unleashed their G.O.O.D. Cover just in time. Kanye, Kid Cudi, Common, 2 Chainz, Big Sean — yep, the gangs all here.

As Kanye West himself said earlier this summer, there’s a real healthy sense of competition in hip-hop right now. But with all the crews gunning for that top spot, it’s hard to argue with the fact that Yeezy’s G.O.O.D. Music collective has the strongest lineup in the rap game. Just take a look at the faces featured on our latest cover: Kanye, Kid Cudi, Common, Pusha T, Big Sean, John Legend, 2 Chainz, and Q-Tip. From enduring icons to fresh young hitmakers, everyone in the G.O.O.D. crew is bringing something serious to the table.

With G.O.O.D. Music’s debut album Cruel Summer dropping in a few weeks, it was a no-brainer to collaborate with DONDA on the cover from our August/September issue. After photographer NABIL captured the crew’s chemistry, Complex’s editor-in-chief and chief content officer Noah Callahan-Bever sat down with seven of the key players in G.O.O.D.’s roster for an insightful roundtable discussion about what it’s like working under the guidance of coach Kanye. The issue officially hits stands on August 7, but we’re giving you access to the full cover story right now…

Head over to Complex to read the whole piece, and hit the jump to watch some behind the scenes footage.
