DJ Whoo Kid unearthed this rare (never-before-seen?) footage of Kanye West from 2002, on the same day he got into his life-changing car accident.
He talks about the night now known as “Chaining Day”, when he was christened with his Roc-A-Fella piece in front of 20,000 people in Chicago (some of my friends were on stage with him that night), that we’ve all seen in the “Through The Wire” video.
I never would’ve imagined, back around this same time when I used to cop Kanye’s mixtapes from Tony’s Sports, that he’d become the superstar that he is now. Pretty amazing, really.
