After years and years of complaining and writing about NO Chicago acts landing on XXL’s coveted Freshmen 10 cover, this year we’re looking at a total of 8 possibly making it. Yeah you read that correctly: eight. This evening, XXL Magazine released the list of possibly nominees and a ballot for you to cast your vote. XXL will pick 9, and the artist with the most votes will earn the 10th spot. I’m thinking the Chi will at least have 4 spots on the cover. What do you think?

I respect his hustle & grind, but he is a disgrace to the chicago scene, and he has no business
being associated with the rest of the above talent, or hip hop in general.
