Video: Rhymefest Makes Cancer Survivor’s Dreams Come True

Posted on March 24, 2010 by Andrew Barber

A short film by director Konee Rok.

Konee captures the time Rhymefest performed for cancer survivor (and super dope producer) Rob Bates’ Make A Wish Foundation party.  The part was set and everything was booked but the DJ, so in a last minute scramble, ‘Fest makes Rob step up to the plate.  Watch and see for yourself.

I never knew Rob fought the great battle and won, so props to him for being a true survivor.

When the Make-A-Wish Foundation grants cancer survivor Robert Bates one wish, he asks for Rhymefest to perform a private concert for his family and friends. But things get awkward when nobody remembers to book a DJ.
