Vic Spencer – Miami Life (A Tribute to Ras Kass)

Fun fact: I liked the original version of this song so much that I went out and bought The Substitute Original Motion Picture Soundtrack in the spring of ’96. The movie starred Tom Berenger and is one of the worst movies I’ve ever had the pleasure of watching. The soundtrack was crap, too. Still mad I dropped $17, or whatever, on it.

Despite that misstep, the track lives on and is still great in my book. Vic Spencer felt the same way, so much so that he’s made his own version as a tribute to the Waterproof MC. It ain’t nothin’ nice.
