A preview of this leaked early in the summer, but it was a recorded video of Keef playing it off his computer, so the quality was pretty lacklsuter. But the snippet definitely evoked feelings of the smiley face emoji with the sunglasses on. Now just two days after releasing his second mixtape of the year, Almighty So, Keef returns with the final version, alongside King Peno. I’m going to give this one the thumbs up emoji, and then the praying hands emoji for finally putting it out.
Update: Per Protege Beatz and Year Beatz (who produced the record), the version leaked by King Peno is a fake. Allegedly, Protege played the track for Peno, who took it and added his own verse to it. Year and Protege have shared the official version of “Emojis” which you can now find below.
